Founded in 1990, the European Bicycle Manufacturers Association (EBMA) represents over 1,200 sustainable manufacturing SMEs in the bicycle, e-bike, and components sectors across 23 EU member states and the UK.

As a leading voice in the industry, EBMA actively defends European manufacturers by promoting fair competition, advocating for strong trade policies, and fostering innovation.

We work to keep 158,000 green jobs and preserve Europe’s industrial expertise against unfair competition, subsidized dumping, and circumvention. Through close collaboration with EU institutions, we help manufacturers navigate trade regulations, drive investment in R&D, and support the transition toward sustainable Industry 4.0 technologies.

Our initiatives also focus on reshoring component production to the EU to further reduce our carbon footprint, reinforcing Europe’s leadership in sustainable and high-quality manufacturing.
